Today, Thursday, the President of the Republic and Secretary-General of the Polisario Front reaffirmed the Sahrawi people’s unwavering commitment to their inalienable and non-negotiable right to freedom and independence, rejecting all suspicious solutions aimed at depriving them of this right or circumventing it.
In his speech at the opening of the Tenth Ordinary Session of the National Secretariat, the President stressed that the Sahrawi people stand firmly against attempts to undermine and deny the legitimate rights of peoples.
The President noted that a solution to the Western Sahara issue must be based on clear foundations, particularly the Sahrawi people’s inalienable right, through a transparent process consistent with the relevant United Nations resolutions.
He also warned of the particular circumstances surrounding the current stage, ahead of the 17th Congress of the Polisario Front, stressing the need for vigilance, mobilization, and preparedness to meet challenges and thwart the enemy’s schemes.
On another front, the President highlighted the threat posed by Morocco to its neighbours through expansionist policies and the trafficking of drugs to finance terrorist organizations and transnational organized crime, as well as through facilitating the implementation of external agendas.
The President stressed that the regional situation caused by Morocco requires peoples across the region to confront these challenges and strengthen coordination and joint efforts in order to serve the interests of their peoples in development and stability..
